Lotus Clean Filter Wash Natural

Modern cartridge filters consist of a special fleece with millions of tiny pores. Dirt gets caught in these pores and is thus retained. If cleaned improperly, bacteria become lodged in the fleece and form a biofilm that protects them. Additional fats, oils and skin flakes provide a food source for the bacteria, turning the filter into a source of water contamination.

Contaminated filters also cause the filter pump to consume more electricity and shorten its service life. For these reasons, it is important to clean the filters thoroughly on a regular basis: Lotus Clean Filter Wash Natural dissolves organic dirt, grease and oil from the filter fleece. Clean the filters every two to three weeks (weekly cleaning may be necessary when first using Lotus Clean) and use a second set of filters during the cleaning period.

The filter fleece loses its filtering effect over time. Even filters that look good can then only provide poor filtering performance.

Application:

Place the filter in a container and add half a measuring cup (50 ml) of Lotus Clean Filter Wash Natural. Fill with hot water until the filter is covered. For larger containers or heavy soiling, increase the amount added.

Leave the filter in the cleaning solution for at least 12 hours. Then remove the filter and rinse it thoroughly with a strong jet of water.

For even more intensive cleaning, place the filter in a bucket with 10 litres of water and 20 ml of Lotus Clean Shock overnight. This will make the filter even whiter and remove any remaining biofilm with bacteria.

Replace your filters at least every two years.
