LC108 -- Why is the water in the whirlpool brown and/or the filters discoloured brown?

Why is the water in the whirlpool brown and/or the filters discoloured brown?

Answer:
An excessively high iron content in the water is usually the cause of brown discolouration. This usually occurs when well water is used.

Therefore we recommend:
- Never use well water to fill the whirlpool.
- If you only have well water available, we recommend using pH-Minus Liquid. It contains a formulation that binds metals.
- You should also use far more Lotus Clean Shock as Shock oxidises metals and minerals. Increase the Shock addition by 20 ml per day until the filters no longer discolour and the water remains clear. Then you can use the usual Lotus Clean Shock dosage again.
