How long should the filter run time be and why?
Answer:
The filter running time in the whirlpool should be at least 6 hours per day. However, we recommend running the filters for 8 to 12 hours per day. If the water is cloudy, the filter running time should also be set to at least 12 hours. During turbidity, you should clean the filters daily.
Why should the filter run time not be too short?
If the filter running time is less than 6 hours a day, dirt, fats and oils can remain in the water longer and thus provide food for bacteria. Although this dirt is encapsulated by Lotus Clean Basic, it cannot be removed from the water via the filters. In addition, the constant circulation of the water supports the effect of Lotus Clean Basic and Lotus Clean Shock.
