Instructions for use System Wash Plus

System Wash Plus is a cleaning agent that is particularly effective at removing brown and stubborn deposits. Such deposits are often caused by minerals and limescale in the water.

The product can be used on its own, but we recommend combining it with System Wash. While System Wash dissolves biofilms and organic contaminants, System Wash Plus removes mineral deposits. As both types of contamination often occur together, the products complement each other perfectly.

Dosage

Use 1 can for whirlpools up to 2,000 litres.

Preparation

• Carry out the cleaning with the old water. It is also possible to change the water beforehand.
• Raise the water level by approx. 5 cm so that the water/air interfaces in the pipes are reached.
• Heat the whirlpool to 37 °C and keep the temperature constant.
• Add the can of System Wash Plus to the water while the pumps are running.

Cleaning procedure

• Switch the pumps and blowers off and on again several times a day for 20 seconds at a time. At least 5 times a day.
• All jets and waterfalls must be open.
• The air volume control on the edge of the tub must be open.
• Run the pumps for at least 10 minutes once a day (switch them off again if there is excessive foaming).

Note: System Wash Plus does not foam. When combined with System Wash, excessive foaming occurs. This is intentional, as the foam acts like a ‘brush’ in the pipes.

Leave the cleaning agents in the water for at least 24 hours.

After cleaning

Empty the whirlpool.
• Rinse the pipes with a garden hose.
• If possible, carefully unscrew the adjustable jets (do not use force).
• Refill the whirlpool and run the pumps for 2–3 minutes.
• Empty the whirlpool again.
• Refill the whirlpool completely.

Important note for sand filter systems

If you use a sand filter system (including those with glass or cotton balls), the filter material must be rinsed very thoroughly. The whirlpool must be completely emptied and refilled.

Recommended follow-up treatment

After cleaning, we recommend cleaning L (Large). This helps to oxidise any remaining dirt residues. The whirlpool can be used during this cleaning process.

Caution: Cleaning L (Large) must not be used for hot tubs with aluminium stoves due to the risk of corrosion. Use cleaning M (Medium) instead.
