Lotus Clean pH-Plus Granules

Lotus Clean pH-Plus Granules protect your whirlpool from acidic water.

Just as an excessively high pH value can have a negative effect on water quality, an excessively low pH value should also be avoided. A pH value below the neutral value of 7.0 is referred to as acidic water.

If the pH value is too low, there is a risk of metal parts corroding. The lower the pH value, the more likely these components are to be attacked. Accordingly, the water should have a pH value of at least 6.5 during normal operation.

We recommend setting the pH value between 6.0 and 6.5 in the early stages. Maintain this value as long as the pH value continues to rise on its own. If the pH value no longer rises, you should set it between 6.8 and 7.2.

With Lotus Clean pH-Plus, you can reliably and accurately adjust the pH value of your whirlpool. This protects the components in your pool and facilitates water disinfection.

Application of pH-Plus granules

There are no standard dosages for raising the pH value, as this depends on the water hardness.

• Remove half a bucket of water from the whirlpool.
• Sprinkle in the pH-Plus granules while stirring slowly. The water may become cloudy during this process, but this is not a problem. Depending on the alkalinity of the water, the pH value may rise at different rates. Therefore, add small amounts at first and measure the pH value in between. Increase the amount of pH-Plus depending on the measurement result.
• If the measurement result is below the desired value, repeat the process.
• Slowly pour the prepared water back into the whirlpool near the filter.
• Important: Keep all pumps running so that the pH-Plus disperses quickly.
• Then measure the pH value again. If it is still lower than desired, repeat the process.

By the way: You can dispose of the remaining water in the sewer system or use it next time (do not leave it standing for longer than a week).
