Lotus Clean pH-Minus Granules

Quickly lowers the pH value without leaving any residue

Our pH-Minus Granules have been specially developed for whirlpools, swim spas and hot tubs. We recommend using the granules instead of pH-Minus liquid for hard water and pools with low filter performance or sand filter systems. It quickly lowers the pH value of the water without leaving any residue. You can use the whirlpool immediately after use.

The reduction in pH value depends on the hardness of the water. If the water is very hard, it is more difficult to lower the pH value and more pH reducer is required, which is why no specific dosages can be given. The hardness of tap water varies from region to region. For the smooth maintenance of your whirlpool, it is therefore important to know how hard your water is. Your regional water company can provide you with this information. Water hardness is measured in degrees of German hardness (°dH).

Water hardness in the United Kingdom

• Below 8 °dH – soft water
• 8 °dH to 14 °dH – medium water
• Above 14 °dH – hard water

Note: The granules absorb moisture and can become hard. Tap the tin on the floor a few times to make the granules free-flowing again.

The pH value should be between 6.8 and a maximum of 7.2.

In the first few days or weeks, the value will rise repeatedly as carbon dioxide escapes from the water. You should therefore measure the pH value regularly – daily in the early stages – and lower it if necessary.

Application

• First measure the pH value of the water.
• Add approx. 50 ml of pH reducer per 1000 litres of water in the whirlpool.
• Leave the pumps running until everything is well mixed.
• Measure the pH value again after 5 minutes.
• Based on the measured difference, you can estimate how much pH minus you still need to add.
